In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
