I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
